Our Story

Rodi Restaurant is a venture of three long-life friends driven by their passion for fine quality food and hospitality, and their vision to create a truly ‘family’ business. Rodi, is the Greek word for pomegranate, which holds a strong symbolic meaning for life, health, and good luck. The pomegranate tree has been known and appreciated in ancient Greece; it is mentioned in Homer’s Odyssey and Hippocrates - known as the father of modern Western medicine – refers to the pomegranate’s beneficial effects on our health. Smashing a pomegranate on New Year’s Day is an ancient Greek custom that continues to this day and the more the seeds that scatter on the floor, the luckier the New Year will be.

For us, Rodi represents quality food, which is the very definition of a long, happy, and healthy life. Rodi sits perfectly within the philosophy of our restaurant, which is carefully designed to take guests on a sensory journey combining authentic Greek food with elements of modern Mediterranean cuisine.
